I am not a huge fan of posting pictures of myself on here, but I loved this one (only one missing is Sean!)
Kayla is our little pal, life would not be the same without her.
Today we had a "Father's day Sunday afternoon nap" This consisted of Kayla jumping on the bed with a huge smile saying "Happy Fodder's Day Happy Fodder's Day!" The three of us then snuggled together and read books. The nap never did happen but the time was well worth it. What a great Father's Day.

A Few of My Favorite Things... About Dad!

Dad in the morning with sweet trumpets sounding,
Wiping my boogers then acting astounded,
Backpacking weekends where we all would sing,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Six girls and three boys and still time for talking,
Daddy was up for some biking or walking,
Beaches and rivers, sequoia park swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When a plate breaks, when the bees sting,
when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember the good times with Dad,
and then I don't feel.... so bad!

Happy Father's Day, I know it's cheezy but that happens to be your middle name.
Thanks for being you Dad, I couldn't ask for a better childhood.

"Momma, draw a Lithard"

Well, my life is a little bit crazy. I am up at 6:30 or 7 AM to get ready for work. I get home at 5:10 PM. I spend quality time with Kayla and Sean until Kayla's bedtime. I then begin studying for my anatomy class as soon as she is down until about 11:30 PM. Saturday morning I wake up before Kayla gets up and I hike with a girlfriend. Then Sean and I head to the testing center at school to take the test we studied for. I am trying to get my documents together to apply for the nursing program which is due the 17th.

Writing this makes me feel a little stressed.

Somehow, I still have time to draw pictures of "lithards" (lizards) for Kayla. Somehow I still have time to look into those big blue eyes and enjoy the simplicity of life. Somehow I still have time to love and be loved by a great guy, my best friend, Sean.
