Weekend in Jackson, WY, Teton Ntl Park, and Yellowstone

I know it's kind of old news but I have been to busy to post. Last weekend we went up to Jackson, WY and ran the snake river on some great rapids, then we went to Teton National Park and rode horses, then we went to Yellowstone and saw a bunch of animals and geysers. What a great weekend to usher in the new semester. I still dream of being back there without a care in the world. Kayla was such a great little traveler and... it was... the.. perfect weekend.
Now, it's back to the books. I have my second Anatomy/Physiology class, Chemistry and a full time job! I know it will be worth it in the end!

Friends

The first time Jack and Kayla met, Jack lovingly ran full speed at the new walker and mowed her completely over. It was at that moment ,Kayla and Jack knew they would be friends. For the past 18 months, the two have played and played and played.
Sometimes they fight over the ingredients that should go into their lovely mud pie, but mostly, they run and squeal happily together.
Every time they have a chance to see each other, they run full speed toward one another and tackle with a big over zealous hug.

It is interesting how we seek friendships at such a young age. I believe it is an eternal principle that we are born with. Friendships are what keeps this world wholesome. Friendships are what makes happy people wake up each morning. Striving each day to be the kind of friend we seek to have will ensure we will always be surrounded by best friends.

I really love school but I am soooooo glad this semester is over! Too bad next semester starts in ten days.
By the way... if you haven't heard.... I was accepted in to the RN program at Weber State.
I am so excited!

(Sarah, this one is for you. Working on the light within the eyes, thanks for the suggestion)

Makes us smile every day, makes us laugh even harder.
There is nothing that compares to the love a parent feels for their child.
I am still hoping she won't grow up and the stories I tell her about when she was a baby, while she smiles and listens intently, will influence her to hold on to the beauty of childhood for as long as she can.
