Slipping through my Fingers

Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see what's in her mind
Each time I think I'm close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time
-ABBA

How does the time slip so easily each day? This little girl that once was so happy snuggled up in her mommy's arms is in a quest for her own independence. It feels like time is truly slipping through my fingers. I wish she could know of the prayers in which I give, just to keep her safe from the evils and hardships of this world, to capture the innocence of childhood and keep it forever. How does one little girl make a mommy and daddy's heart melt, just be her curious little smile? Children are truly the the flash of brightness and spark of happiness in our struggling world.

Beautiful, Hannah. And so true. I miss you and her so much. It hurts. Loved seeing her. I wish I hadn't been so busy with packing so I could sit with her and you more. She is so beautiful. Look at those blue eyes and full lips! And she has feathers for hair. So beautiful.

I'm sure that when I'm a mom I'll understand... more.

Even if you slept in the same bed and spent every waking moment playing together, you would still feel that way! You are a great Mom, recognizing and showing her how precious each moment is!
