A Christmas to Remember

This has been the best Christmas yet. Even though this little girl has no idea it's even going on, Christmas has a different spirit about it when there is such this special gift so new from heaven. We spent Christmas Eve at Sean's parent's house. It is always a blast being over there but this year was extra fun with the "Cops" marathon on TV. We enjoyed the anticipation of Santa's arrival with the fast- paced action! Christmas definately snuck up on us this year but turned out to be a blast. I must say, the best part was seeing our little "present" under the tree!!Kayla is a happy happy girl. She smiled for the first time at three weeks and hasn't stopped since!! This is the first true smile captured on camera. As first time parents we are loving every smile and look of excitement we see. She is such a beautiful baby with lots of spirit. She seems to have a mind of her own and is very content. I think the thing that surprises us the most is her bedtime ritual; She will be fed, burped, changed, and swaddled. We then kiss her, lay her in her crib and she will lay there awake until she falls asleep, without a sound. This has been her nature since day one!! I really have no idea where this kid came from. I have been told not to count my chickens as things can so quickly change this early in the game!

Oh my gosh, how can you keep from kissing that mug all the time?! I can't wait to see her (and you guys) and hold her every minute--in daylight hours, I mean. Love always, Grama Mary
