Kayla and the Snow

So, I wanted to share Kayla's first hands - on experience in the snow.
This season has been a blessed snow year with feet after feet of the soft fluffy powder. Sean and I have had a great snowboard season so far. But along with the plentiful snowfall the tempuratures have been extremely cold for a little tyke like Kayla. So today was the first "warm" day we have had. (in the 40s!) So, because daddy is gone for the weekend with the Marines, Kayla and I made a day of it. First Heather (Sean's sister), Kayla and I went to the pet store. Kayla was squealing the whole entire time because she was so excited. She laughed and laughed at the puppies that were playing together and stared at all the fish. After a fun few hours there, we came home and went outside on the balcony to play in the snow for the FIRST time! I made a pile so Kayla could knock it over. She thought it was the awesomest thing she had ever seen. It became dark and she wanted to stay outside and play, I had to pick her up and make her come inside. It was great. I couldn't decide which pictures to post so I did all of them!!

Dude, hannah, Kayla is the cutest kid I have ever seen. I need to chill with you guys more so she doesn't think I'm so scary.

How fun is that! I bet she will be just like you two and love the snow! I think those little kids on skis are so darling.....

Oh, p.s., I love how you called it a "hands on" experience, when almost the whole time her hands are inside the sleeves of her jacket! I miss her. I can't deny it.
