I write this with all due respect. There are many that say they do not want to bring children into this troubled world. The reasons are valid. As a world, we face fighting, genocides, wars, and turmoil. Why should we bring children into such a world? Then I look into the face of my daughter and I know that there must be a reason. All religious belief aside, as adults, we are the ones that need children. We need them to remember how much we can love. We need them to fall even more deeply in love with our spouses when we see how much they can love a child too. We need them to be reminded of the beautiful simplicity that is left in this world. The shelter from the global struggle is in the eyes of our children. They can teach us once again the good that will always prevail.

There is still Good in The World

That's my darling baby granddaughter, she is so beautiful!!
The Mom (Grandma Dunnigan)
well said, Hannah, it brings a deep joy to hear such wise words from one who just yesterday(it seems) brought those same feelings to me. Thanks for reminding me about what is important. Dad
What a sweetheart. Hanzie you are the best. Thanks for the peaceful words of hope. A big shout out to Sarah for taking such wonderfully beautiful pictures.
Thanks for the 'shout out', ha ha. Hannah, I have never read words that were more true. Thanks for that.
She is absolutely beautiful! Glad that we are able to "meet up" again!
All the calamities we face which you listed have been in the earth always, in every generation. And people have wondered whether or not to bring children into it. And they just do it anyway because children are our hope, they are our teachers and everything we can become is dependent on the goodness of the rising generation. And the wonderful mothers and fathers who have uttered the wise words you did, their children have become our heroes, our friends and our salvation in this world. What you see in Kayla's gorgeous eyes, I saw in yours, Grama Dotty saw in mine...And I must say that for all the dread and terror, these are the best days to live, because Kayla is here!
Amen to that! I couldn't agree more, well said! What a beautiful baby you have, I bet she is a delight.
I love this post, and how the heck did you get that top picture? Did you pose her fingers just so or was it just the right timing? What a little doll!
What a beautiful blog! So very true. You always have such profound things to say. Remember our fourth level hike when we sang "Mr Sun" and the sun came out. I don't know why I just thought of that, but I just pictured how cute and fun you were and how much I enjoyed being around you! You have a beautiful family.
