While You Were Sleeping

Kayla is turning three on Friday. I can hardly believe it.
This year, we wanted to get Kayla a princess bed on a pauper's budget. I found a cute little white wooden toddler bed at Kid to Kid (a used kids store) for $17. Sean and I went to Home Depot and bought a pink spray paint, 3 cans for $10.00. Tonight, after Kayla went to bed, Sean and I spent a few hours in the garage painting the bed Kayla's favorite color. Every day I see Sean as a father. But tonight, it was different. I fell in love with the sweet way he so carefully painted the bed evenly. I knew that every time he continued to touch up the little flaw spots, it represented the true love a father has for his little girl.

Kayla is going to LOVE her "big girl bed". I hope we can keep her it in until she goes to sleep! The Mom
