What's the Easter Bunny?

So I think I blew it.
Growing up, the Easter Bunny wasn't ever a thing for us. My parents would place an Easter basket on our dresser with treats and a few small presents. We always knew it was them and just never believed in an over sized animal that comes around to houses and leaves candy. I never really thought people actually believed in it, to tell you the truth.
So when Kayla asked me what the Easter Bunny was, I told her it was a bunny leaves easter eggs around, but it's just pretend. (I mean, I dunno.)
When I mentioned to Sean that she asked and what I had told her...well... apparently people really do believe in it and want their kids to believe in it too.
Oops.
I agreed to play in to the whole over sized rabbit that hops around hiding eggs.
Still think it's a little strange.
The beauty of two people from different backgrounds attempting to raise children together.
Live and learn.
And love it.

OH Hannah!! Very sweet!! You may also want to discuss Santa (probably done that already), and the tooth fairy. We don't do any of the three at our house and my mother thinks we are horrible and ruining our children's childhood. Fortunately, most of them are turning out OK so far :-) Sister Lund

That is funny and it got me thinking...I think I would've done the same. I never believed in the easter bunny even though i was a die hard Santa believer. Have you two been snowboarding this winter? we should head up to Brighton one of these nights on the 2 for 1 deal.

Segway- a book and approach I loved to teaching kids of Santa is called "I believe in Santa Clause" by Daine Adamson. It makes comparisons and shows the symbolism in Christmas icons/Santa to the Savior. I think you would like it. It's not even Christmas and I'm bringing up Santa;) so how about the sunshine today?!
