Since she was three different princesses this year, I couldn't keep up with taking photos of each costume.
Even though I am not a huge fan of Halloween, we experienced a few firsts this year.
We had our first annual Halloween party with my siblings, their spouses and all the little cousins. We made a "Haunted Hallway", went trick or treating in all the rooms of my sister's house, ate chili, laughed and we all danced to the Monster Mash... adults included! Dressing up was a requirement.
We carved our first pumpkin this year too. Kayla drew the face and I carved it out.
Roasted pumpkin seeds for the first time.
Because Sean is a Trick or Treating enthusiast, there was no way to get out of it. Rain or shine. Upon my suggestion to "let" Sean take Kayla by himself while I stayed home to hand out candy, a look of deep and inner hurt came over his face. Apparently he feels that Trick or Treating is a really special family event..... oh brother.
Halloween enthusiast or not, it was a great week. There is something so magical about watching her grow up. Experiencing all the little moments together as a family. Can't wait until Christmas, that is when I become the enthusiast!
