30

Okay, so the photo has nothing to do with this post but it's a photo I took of my little niece. It's just so squeezable!

Yesterday, something happened.
I turned 30.
As my 20s rapidly began to approach the end, I thought 30 would be a difficult birthday for me.
I thought I would feel my youth slipping away. Thinking I might long for my 20s again.
But, the birthday came. I spent some quality time with my sisters, then some quality time with my in laws. Had a lot of fun.
Most significant was the sudden realization that I didn't long for my 20s again.
I realized there is nothing in my 20s that I regret.
Happy I worked in EMS, served a mission, married Sean, had Kayla, I'm finishing nursing school, and have a bun in the oven.
Not to say I haven't had struggles, but happy nonetheless.
Really, I couldn't ask for better experiences in my 20s.
I learned at a young age to live in the moment. Not continually wishing for the future, regretting the past, or despising the present.
If I continue on this way, each birthday will be a celebration.
