Dance Class

So Kayla started dance 3 weeks ago. She loves it. As you can see, she is still working on her ballet positions, and, well... she is also working on focusing too. She is a true three year old. Follow your dreams Kayla, follow your dreams...

On that note, here are some funny things that Kayla has come up with lately:

I overheard Kayla playing with her stuffed toys, specifically a stuffed puppy dog. Kayla said, assertively, "Thit puppy, thit" (aka 'sit') Then she picked up the puppy, hugging him tightly and said "good boy puppy, good boy!"

Kayla loves her stethoscope. She often approaches me with it and states, clearly, "Mommy, I am gonna listen to your heart BEEP, okay." Then, placing the stethoscope carefully over my throat, after I make a swallowing sound, she states "I hear it mommy, it sounds like juice!"

Kayla seems to think that her pee and poo is a living thing. When I ask her to use the bathroom and she refuses, I simply inform her that her pee really needs to get out and go home to it's family. If she still refuses, I tell her that her pee is crying and crying in there. She gets a worried look on her face and says "Okay mommy, I'm gonna let my pees out." When the deed is done, she will often say "Mommy, my pee said thanks for letting it out! I am gonna flush him home to his family." Who knows if this type of falsehood will scar my child for life but as far as I am concerned, I think it is so cute!
