A Soft Heart

Lately, Kayla has really become prone to mischief. She was found painting her bedroom door with red nail polish. Then she got caught "making rain" with apple juice on the dollhouse and all over the carpet. My mother in law's beautiful leather couch now contains an eternal scar of Kayla's black permanent marker ink. She smooshed her soft serve ice cream in to the side of my face one evening, just to see what would happen.

Today we went to Kayla's cousin's house. Sarah told me I need to blog more.

When Kayla was playing with her cousins, one of them got hurt (rough housing) and everyone cried about it. On the way home, Kayla said to me: "Mommy, I'm sorry I broked their feelings." I asked: "What do you mean?" Kayla: "When I broked Ruby's feelings and Grace's feelings and everyone was crying. I'm sorry I broked their feelings."

I mean, what do you say to this? The incident had happened hours prior to her asking. What a sweet girl. With all the mischief she creates, what a sweet girl.
