Dirt? Wishful thinking.
A few months ago a super nice neighbor gave Kayla their kids' old Barbie Jeep.
This has been the study time babysitter.
On Monday evening, I made a phone call to a classmate to ask a question about pharmacology.
Kayla came running in from the backyard:
Mom! There is something on the jeep tire, come help me!
Kayla, I am on the phone, it's probably dirt. Go play.
Suddenly, Kayla leaps on top of me and repeats: help me help me help me (super fast)
I go outside.
Not a little dirt, a huge, fresh pile of dog poop that Kayla ran over.
While on the phone, I tried to scrape it off with a shovel. Too wet.
Kayla jumps in and I help her steer the jeep toward the hose for a spray-off.
On the way I, very smoothly, step in the pile of dog poop that is on the ground.
Barefoot! Seriously.
Good thing my friend on the phone has a sense of humor, cause she heard the whole thing.
And, yes, in the final picture, she is "texting" on the pretend phone.... while she is driving. I swear I did NOT teach her that!
