Kindness

(Picture has nothing to do with the post, I just like it)

Frustrated, last night I finally crawled in to bed at 11:00. I knew I had to wake up at 4:30 for clinicals. I felt worried because I had no clean clinical scrubs, I hadn't printed out the assignment that was due in the morning and I didn't know where my stethoscope was. I was so exhausted I couldn't stay awake and I went to sleep.

The alarm woke me up too soon and it was 4:30 AM already!

Hanging from a hanger on the door were my clean, ironed scrubs.
On top of the laptop sat my printed assignments, stapled and ready to go.

I thanked my husband up and down for what he had done.
But he will never know how much that really meant to me.

This exemplifies why I love him.
It's not money, it's not smooth talking, it's nothing material.
It's kindness.
Random acts of kindness.
All I need in life.

Beautiful post, Hannah!! If only we could all remember that when so much of the unimportant stuff is clouding our view!! Thanks, I needed the reminder :-)
